CerviQ Founder Dr. Bogs Rivera speaks at the 2023 Midwife Conference hosted by the Midwives Foundation of the Philippines, with this year’s theme “Modern Frontier of Maternal and Child Care”, held at the Crown Regency Hotel & Towers, Osmena Boulevard, Cebu City.
Dr. Bogs talked about the WHO elimination campaign, the WHO – Philippine Cervical Cancer vaccination and screening report, the patterns of cervical cancer screening failures, and possible solutions to how effective screening can be done remotely. Presently, Dr. Bogs is conducting training on cervical cancer VIA-based screening using a colposcope – Cerviray, coupled with artificial intelligence, and remote reading with medical specialists.
Other key speakers during the first day include former Assistant Secretary, Department of Health, Dr. Paulyn Jean B. Rosell – Ubial, and Midwives Foundation of the Philippines Vice President, Ms. Elizabeth Dumaran.
