Cervical Screening Course: Training of Trainers – Save Women’s Lives

Training of Trainers - Save Women's Lives Cervical Screening Course
Cervical cancer is a preventable disease. Yet despite the preventive tools available to us in the Philippines, Cervical cancer remains the second most common cause of cancer in women.
The WHO points out that only 1% of Filipino women aged 30 to 49 attend their screening, and this remains one of the causes of failure in eliminating the disease. With most doctor specialists practicing in the urban setting, only a handful take up the chores in rural communities, widening the gap between the urban and rural areas. Understanding this, the government sets out to train midwives in cervical screening using Visual Inspection with Acetic Acid (VIA). But VIA  interpretation is difficult, especially without the use of magnification. The test is likewise subjective and is observed to have inter-operator variability. Furthermore, the referral system for positive cases is fragmented between the midwives and the medical specialist.

To resolve this, CerviQ is introducing a cervical cancer screening system that is aided by artificial intelligence to evaluate images objectively, a colposcope to take a magnified photo of the cervix, and a referral system where midwives do the procedure and the medical specialist provides the final evaluation/diagnosis all within one hour.
This Training of Trainers course introduces cervical cancer screening using VIA-based colposcope with artificial intelligence.
The course comprises a 1-day didactic discussion, followed by another day of practicum course on handling the machine.
This month’s practicum course shall be held on April 29, 2023, in Bacayan, Cebu City. For more information, kindly contact COPROD SOLUTIONS, INC. at 09203938221/ 09619678562, or email at Coprodsolutions2020@gmail.com, jfg921@gmail.com
