San Jose, Plaridel, Bulacan. The event brought together passionate Rotarians from six Plaridel-based clubs, all eager to exchange ideas, present their ongoing projects, and strengthen collaborative efforts across the district.

A key highlight of the evening was a compelling talk delivered by Dr. Bogs Rivera, a leading champion of maternal health and one of the country’s loudest voices in the movement to eliminate cervical cancer. Dr. Rivera shared his advocacy work and best practices on cervical cancer eradication, emphasizing the importance of early detection, preventive screening, and community-based interventions. He also presented the groundbreaking AI Against Cervical Cancer Project with DOST-ASTI, showcasing how homegrown innovation and artificial intelligence can transform cervical screening in the Philippines.

An important partner recognized during the event was the We Bless We Care Foundation, a steadfast advocate and supporter of cervical cancer elimination efforts. The foundation is a strong ally of End Cervical Cancer Philippines Organization Inc. (CerviQ), championing preventive screening, women-centered education, and accessible health services for underserved communities. Their unwavering commitment helps bridge gaps in awareness, resources, and outreach—ensuring more women receive timely, potentially life-saving cervical screenings.
