WHY CERVICAL SCREENING IS IMPORTANT
-
Majority of Cervical Cancer are DIAGNOSED in the LATE STAGES.
Most women seek consultation when they feel something bad (reactive medicine). Cervical cancer frequently DOES NOT have presenting symptoms in the early stages. Symptoms usually are present in late stages of the disease. Getting screened can detect very early precancerous lesions that if left untreated, can become cervical cancer in 10 or more years. Cervical Cancer screening is a preventive proactive medicine and truly saves lives.
