Leknaan Ya Pozorrubio, Inc., a non-profit organization in District 4 province of Pangasinan, sponsors a Cervical Cancer Awareness and Prevention Campaign in Pozzorubio. Mr. Gerry Gascon, President of the Leknaan Ya Pozorrubio, Inc. says, “I know how fatal and deadly Cervical Cancer is as someone very close to me died of it”.
Mr. Gascon’s special someone developed an aggressive variant of Cervical Cancer that despite the best treatment at the best hospital in the US – MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas, succumbed to the disease. And this is why through his foundation (Leknaan Ya Pozorrubio, Inc.), Mr. Gascon is helping out every kabaleyans in his hometown.
The Cervical Cancer Awareness and Prevention Campaign was in partnership with the Inner Wheel Club of Muntinlupa Filinvest, led by their President – Ms. Rizabeth Angcahan, the Rural Health Unit of Pozzorubio and CerviQ.
Inner Wheel Clubs of Muntinlupa Filinvest members help in the screening of patients bound to get Cervical Cancer Screening.
