Free Cervical Cancer Screening at Barangay Rosario Pasig

March is National Women’s Month, a time to celebrate the achievements and contributions of women across the globe. It’s also a crucial opportunity to raise awareness about women’s health issues and promote access to essential healthcare services. In line with this, the Inner Wheel Club of Bacoor is proud to sponsor a free cervical cancer screening program for the beneficiaries of Barangay Rosario in Pasig City. Cervical cancer is a preventable disease, and early detection through screening can save lives. By offering this service, we aim to empower women in Barangay Rosario to take charge of their health and well-being.

The Importance of Cervical Cancer Screening:

Cervical cancer is the 2nd most frequent cancer in the Philippines, but it is also one of the most preventable. Regular screening tests can detect precancerous changes in the cervix before they develop into cancer. Early detection allows for timely intervention, significantly improving treatment outcomes and reducing mortality rates. However, access to screening services remains a challenge for many women, particularly those in underserved communities.

The Inner Wheel Club of Bacoor District 381 – represented by District 381 District Secretary Jelyn LaoSantos Maliksi, Ms. Shareen Jardin Cayanan, Charter President Mico Reyes, Ms. Ola Dela Cruz,
